agree.. 90 days is too much.. esp when just dates need to be extended.. In the first place.. it should be non-expiring .. something like valid with I-485 Receipt... and then when accepting EAD employer can check the I-485 status that its still pending... and any change will send email to the employer about 485 current status...
But then my dear.. where's the money...
Gov: Show me the money?
USCIS: let sdo 1 year EAD/AP renewal... and we can sit for 90 days on it for generating this much money... and find cheapest ways of printing the card and mailing... If errors happen we might get more money :-)

USCIS: Okay we'll issue 2year EAD and accept more new apps...

According to the following document from USCIS they issued receipts for approx 150K applications for AOS in sept. So my estimate of the total back log is
June filers 75k
July - 25k
August 200k
Sept 150k
Oct 50K
Total = 500k

:confused: My H1B is about to expire in Oct 2007 and I haven't yet filed for 7th year extension. I have approved I-140 with April 2006 PD. Should I file for 7th year ext. of H1B or I-485 or both? If I file for H1B extension, will I get 1 year ext. or 3 year ext? :confused:

Hello,
Even as per Indian courts, the contract is valid only if mutually enforceable, which means that the company also needs to give you a two month's notice in case of termination.
Though there is very little risk, why burn the bridges? Be nice and negotiate a mutually agreed exit ... put in some extra hours if needed to transfer the knowledge or to answer any questions to your current job later on. I doubt if your current manager will turn down such an arrangement whereby you help him/her out when needed over a course of next two months...
For your career, the network is more important than the immediate monetary benefits, just my two cents... :)

If they still pre-adjudicated they might not need to move the date backwards, but if they pre-adjudicated we are more likely to loss GC. For example if they adjudicate 180,000 applications per year, but that included 80,000 pre-adjudications then we would loss 40,000 visas that year. So now they adjudicate what they can issue visas for.

You are saying ur PD was Sec 2005? Mine is Dec 2005. Should I also expect it sometime soon :)?
If it is Dec 2005 you must be from non-retro and going by the many approvals for non-retro, you should certainly expect it soon (especially if other checks are complete)

I have been noticing soft LUDs on my EAD and 485. The EAD was issued about 2 months ago and I have had 2 soft luds on that and on the 485 in the last week.
Any ideas on what that means?

He might have made mistakes but he has been a tough one for terrorists.Since Sep11,2001,he has kept the ppl safe.
6 years is a big time.
If he is trying something beneficial for Immigrants,lets support him and ask him to support our cause.
I think we should send faxes/emails to him to show our support and I am sure he will get our amendment passed.
Lets give this a try.I am sure he will make no more mistakes as these are some last things which can give a lot of credibility back to his Presidentship.

i really wanted to know if it was illegla before reporting someone, you can refer to jaylenos reply where he quoted my previous post and you will know my real issue is with people that do fraud.
And i am not that stupid to write in a forum like this accepting that i am doing a fraud ehn i can be tracked.
I wasnt sure and i didnt know how to go about it.
try to follow law in its technicality and spirit. A lot of us may face delay in their app processing for uscis to figure out fraudsters among us. We should keep our program defensible not only in the court of law but also in the court of (american) public opinion.

From what I understand, the annual quota is 140K. The extra 23K was the spillover from last year's FB quota and was distributed in the following order - EB1->EB2->EB3.
Perhaps unfairly, they do not have the same quotas for the spillover visas.
Does anybody know why EB3 Total number (45,650) doesn't translate into 28% of annual quota (163,037). Does it mean EB3 didn't get their fair share (forget about per country limit)? This is insane.

Some of my friends who used AC21 moved to jobs having salary more than 50% of their current one. All got their GCs approved and didn't have any issues. But from what i read from multiple sites, the salary should never go below the one that's mentioned in LCA.

Assuming an equal number for EB3 India, EB2 China, and EB3 China, we have a total of 856 people who have applied for PD?
We have more than 8000 members, so are we to assume the 7000 and odd members are ROW?
Something doesn't add up.

A few months of bank statements (with most recent balance)+ your tax docs for last year+ W-2 and most importantly a letter from your employer saying how long you have been there, salary and benefits, if any - should suffice.
