Also see if you can get this addresses when you go for the actual FP, Try to carry all the documents, Passport, Driver's License, etc and the copy of the I-485/ I-765 etc where you have the correct names.

Guys,
1) For 7 th yr extension your LC and I 140 have to be approved if your LC
is less than 365 days old at the end of 6 th year.
2) If your LC is more than 365 days at the end of 6 yrs it does not matter if it is approved or not you are still eligible for 7 th year extension.

Average pay scale is thousand dollars/mo and commute time in 3 hours. I am sure, those are non factors because you so sincerely desire this.

Hmmmm - laws are generally framed with generic thumb rules. They cannot be addressed to specific stuff. Visass and restrictions are based on needs and demands and not moods and whims. If USA needs software engineers, then they frame laws to get software engineers - they do not target consulting companies - remember it is we who have issues with consulting companies and it is upto those having issues to deal with them
But if they want CIR then we cannot be on anti immigant side. If we sit on anti side we loose what ever we will get in CIR. We can educate lawmakers to add more stuff for us in CIR. I dont think we can be priority when this CIR things will start.. we had only chance for last year that we lost. ( HR 5882 ). As CIR storm begins in next year it will be in our favor to go with it.. ( I dont tihnk so we even have choice ). we are in such minority against illegal people that hardly they will notice us but becasue of business ( Corporate ) only they will add some stuff for us. Thanks for your contributions.I joined IV in the 3rd week of July 2007 when I was randomly searching for information. I did my first one time contribution right on the day the great news was released on 17th July. I have started my $50 monthly starting August 2007.
I would like to mention, what made me believe that IV Core was doing a great job and that it was worth contributing was that IV Core took a lot of risk(credibility) and posted critical news well before it came on any other website. It was like; they had all the scoop before it hit mainstream lawyers or AILA websites sometimes even before it came on USCIS official website (FAQ 3)!
This shows that IV Core has got a lot stronger and they indeed are in close contact with USCIS and that with the enough funds and enough support they will surely make things happen!

Hello All,
I was wondering if someone could please explain what the processing dates mean.... For Texas 485 processing date is April 2007. Does this mean they are adjucating 485 applications received in April 2007? I am confused- does this mean that anyone who applied for AOS after april 2007 will not get their GC even if their PD is current? I am just trying to understand the process. Thanks in advance!

You can work on h1b - you will get H1b based on existing approved 140 and pending 485.
If 140 is revoked by employer you may get a RFE or NOID or in rare cases erroneous denial but you can continue on h1b while you respond to RFE or NOID oor through MTR to erroneous denial.
Sending AC21 docs does not necessarily mean you may not get NOID - AC21 docs seldom go into your file.

Hi guys,
My 8th year extension was filed on June 14th. I have not heard from them since. Lawyer says he has contacted USCIS on Oct 3rd and has not heard back yet either. He has asked me to wait for one month before initiating any further communication with them. Does anyone know how long h1 processing is taking these days? I live in Texas. Now, if I want to transfer this to Premium processing:
a) is it possible to transfer now?
b) how long will the transfer take?

I have applied for an H1b transfer with out paystubs. I am eligible to work from oct 1st 2007. But in my case too I did not get any project as a consultant but got 2 fulltime direct job offers. I accepted one. I stared working for them from the day they filed my transfer with USCIS. The problem is that I did not receive any receipt notice but today when I went online and checked my old approved H1b I see a message that on JAN 16 th 2008 we approved your petition and sent you an approval notice. So can anyone tell me what is this?Should I assume that my H1b transfer got approved?

If company is filing, EB1-OR is easier than EB1-EA. EB1-EA can be self-filed but harder to get. There is another category of EB1 I think for managers which I am not familiar with.

My wife has a non-working SSN. Will she need to convert it (or apply for a new SSN) to working SSN once she starts working persuant to EAD?
Do you mean ITIN or an SSN with a statement underneath? If it is ITIN, then she would need to apply for the real SSN. If it has the statement 'Not valid for employement' then she may get one, too, it would read 'Valid for employment with USCIS authorization'.
